Ninjas in Pyjamas came out on top of the Svecup 2013 finals with a 2-1 victory over LGB eSports. For the second event in a row, Christopher "GeT_RiGhT" Alesund has stepped up as NiP's ingame leader, a clear sign that the Swedish team are trying out new things in wake of recent losses. As such, it comes with little surprise that NiP continue to look a far cry from the side who dominated the scene for several months. In what is one of the most iconic match-ups in the history of Counter-Strike, NiP tackled SK Gaming, who attended the eventh with Isak "cype" Rydman and Christian "Spitfire" Schiölde as stand-ins, in the first round of this four-team tournament. SK came out the brigther, winning the first map (de_inferno) 16-12, but then NiP responded and picked up wins on de_mirage (16-14) and de_dust2 (16-3) to reach the grand final. In the tournament decider NiP were pitted against LGB eSports, who had come off a 2-0 win over AliGon. Once again, the DH Winter losing finalists got off to a slow start and found themselves on the backfoot after losing the first map (de_inferno) 14-16. But Alesund's men were able to pick themselves up, coming out on top on de_mirage (19-17) and de_dust2 (16-13) to run out 2-1 victors in this keenly-contested match.
